Some truths don’t need to be packaged or explained—they just need to be felt.
What follows is an expansion on a poetic meditation that came through during a journaling session.
It speaks to the spiral nature of growth, the complexity of dharma, and the sacred ache of potential still buried.
Let it land how it needs to. Let it spiral. Let it stir.
Spiral Up: A Meditation on Dharma, Pain, and Potential
Spiral up.
Dip down.
Rise again.
What were you born to do?
It’s not always obvious—
because you can’t put a label
on a complex being.
Your dharma may not be a job title.
It may not be a role or a skill.
Your dharma could be to inspire others to grow,
to become a living mirror,
to walk through fire and become the light.
Often, your dharma is buried deep
within your pain.
Within your struggle.
It’s not neat.
It’s not moral.
It’s not always clean or kind.
It’s not about being good.
It’s about being true.
Your karma?
It’s not punishment or reward.
It’s the ripple of every choice—
the consequence of every action
and every silence.
Every “yes” you forced.
Every “no” you never said.
It’s easy to look around
and feel like life is unfair—
To see someone doing one thing effortlessly
and wonder, why not me?
But if you do that,
you shortchange yourself.
Because it is entirely possible
that your potential
is beyond your wildest imagination.
And if you're really suffering—
if you're really resisting—
the likelihood is:
It is.
The deeper the ache,
the greater the space inside you
that’s meant to bloom.
People who suffer the most
have the most room to grow.
And the most to gain.
It’s easy to admire those already rising—
Those who shine bright and clear—
but never forget:
You have seeds too.
Seeds waiting.
Seeds that know.
Seeds that dream of sun and rain and time.
All you have to do
is water them.
All you have to do
is keep showing up for yourself.
That is faith.
Faith is watering your own seeds—
knowing they’re there
even when you can’t see them yet.
Not needing to name them.
Not needing to force the bloom.
Just tending.
Listening.
Trusting that life moves in spirals—
and your next rise is already written
beneath your feet.
Reflect
What part of this spiral are you in right now?
What seed might be buried under the resistance you're feeling?
Take five minutes. No overthinking. Just write what’s true.
